Stay protected

Physical Medicine and Rehab (PM&R) physicians, also known as physiatrists, treat a wide variety of medical conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles and tendons.

At MMH, our PM&R team provides integrated care aimed at recovery of the whole person by addressing the individual’s physical, emotional, medical, vocational and social needs. They also frequently collaborate with orthopedic and spine surgeons, as well as other specialists, to provide comprehensive care.

Injections

Injections can be useful in the management of many conditions, including joint pain, muscle spasms and nerve pain. In addition to providing pain relief, they can also reduce inflammation.

Medication management

Whether prescribed alone or in conjunction with rehab, medications can help manage pain, reduce inflammation, improve muscle function and address other symptoms related to physical disabilities or injuries.
