Whether you are recovering from a stroke or recently had orthopaedic surgery, rehab is key to helping you obtain the best possible results. Our team of skilled therapists works closely with you, your physician and your family to help develop a treatment plan that best meets your needs.

For medical emergencies that require more advanced treatment than we can provide at Margaret Mary, rest assured we have partnerships in place to get you where you need to go.
For patients who are having a heart attack, MMH is an accredited member of The Christ Hospital Chest Pain Network. This means our team underwent a rigorous evaluation process to prove that systems are in place to treat and transfer heart attack patients quickly before permanent damage occurs.
Member of the University of Cincinnati Stroke Team
For patients who are having a stroke, MMH is proud to partner with the University of Cincinnati Stroke Team. This relationship allows for faster diagnosis and treatment of strokes, thereby increasing the odds of a full recovery.
When necessary, MMH uses telemedicine technology to communicate with UC’s Stroke Team. Our emergency services department has received thorough training and evaluation to ensure our staff is well prepared to recognize and treat stroke patients quickly and effectively.
We’ve also been designated as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital by the American Heart Association and Joint Commission. Learn about the symptoms of a stroke.
EMS Hub
In the state of Indiana, all EMS services are required to have a medical director, as well as a supervising hospital. In our local communities, MMH provides both, thereby allowing local EMS services to operate with a single set of treatment protocols. MMH also supports EMS providers by offering continuing education training toward their recertification requirements with the Indiana Department of Homeland Security.
In addition to local EMS, MMH also supports the BLS Non-Transport Services in the area, also known as first responders. Generally associated with area fire departments, these individuals respond in emergencies and often arrive ahead of the ambulance and begin rendering care.
